Challenge

In 2020, the Hong Kong government announced new anti-epidemic policies, and companies or self-employed individuals need to check MPF information. Therefore, hundreds of thousands of users will log into the MPF system. In view of this, AIA has re-examined how the existing system should respond to this incident and plans how to absorb the large influx of people in a short period of time. Avoid system crashes.

Solution

AIA chose to integrate the RoomQ virtual waiting room* into the website system to regain control of the network traffic. RoomQ was used to control the flow of people to the number that the system could support, and the excess flow of people was arranged to wait peacefully in the virtual waiting room. , after the previous batch of user operations are completed, login will be available immediately.

Impact
RoomQ successfully assisted AIA in controlling the flow of people to an appropriate number and maintaining the user experience at the desired level. In addition to solving this single incident, AIA also chose to cooperate with NoQ on a long-term basis to solve the traffic problem.
